Commented Issue: exception in tmrTweet [3977]

Can't seem to ge it working on either XP, Vista, or 7
Below, the error from my log, of which I can not conclude much.
I hope you guys can.

hm... ok.
I changed the code a little bit so it will be easier for us to find the problem.

I added a self-build (this one works just on 32-bit systems and not all commands work) setup as attachment.
please try this one and post the debug-log here.

Ok, I repeatedly de-installed and re-installed, again on multiple platforms (XP/Vista/7) with evermore the same outcome as described above.
"Yedda.Twitter.dll" in every case is found at the installation dir, in my case being C:\Program Files\Codegeeks\Tweetmypc\.
I must have an exceptionally strange setup or routing to be the only person reporting this... ^^

Hi!

It looks like TweetMyPC on your computer isn't able to access the needed file "Yedda.Twitter.dll".
To fix this problem, please uninstall all installed versions of TweetMyPC at your computer and then reinstall TweetMyPC version 3 (use the installer you can download at this website).

This should fix your problem, if it doesn't please search for the file "Yedda.Twitter.dll" at your computer and report here where it finds the file.

Can you perhaps try if running the application as administrator and then using the download command works?

@shoban: can you please send me the string you added in the sourcecode after the bit.ly url which includes the api-key?

I've tried downloading to four different locations on my c: and it just keeps reporting "initiated download". I've been able to download to my J: drive (External USB) and that works fine. I suppose that's a solution but I really want things to download to my desktop so I'll see them when I get home. Any ideas?

Which folder are you trying to download? If it is the default C: drive then the app can have permission issues. I changed the drive and it worked fine.

Ok, yeah, my bad on that.

So, I've got a bit.ly link and I've tried to download two files (a .JPG and .MP3) and in both cases I got the "Initiated Download" response but the files have not appeared in my download folder.

Hi!

as written on http://tweetmypc.codeplex.com/wikipage?title=Commands you first have to shorten the url with http://bit.ly and then post it with the command.

This is for security reasons and also to be able to use urls which are longer then the twitter text-lenght-limit for tweets.

You can easily get the short address by browsing to http://bit.ly , enter the address and then you will get the shortened one which you can use with the download command to get your files.
